Home System Design

Whole-home battery backup and off-grid solar, sized to how your household actually uses power — from a cabin's basic backup to a full off-grid home. We handle the design, system engineering, and parts sourcing.

What we do vs. what you'll need on-site: We design the system, size every component, and source high-quality parts — this is our specialty. Full on-site installation at your home (running wire through walls, tying into your electrical panel, etc.) is typically handled by you or your own licensed electrician/contractor, not by Mac's staff on location. We're happy to support that installer with a clear plan and parts list, and answer questions along the way.

Sized to Your Home

Cabin / Weekend Property

Basic Backup

A battery bank and inverter sized for lighting, a fridge, and small essentials when the property isn't tied to the grid full-time.

Full-Time Residence

Home Backup

A larger bank and inverter setup to keep key circuits running through an outage, alongside your existing grid connection.

Off-Grid Property

Whole-Home System

Solar array, large battery bank, and inverter sized to run an entire household with no grid connection at all.

A Real Example

A ground-mount array at an off-grid property — the kind of system we help design and spec: sized to the site's actual sun exposure and the household's power needs, with the rack, wiring, and disconnect planned out before a single post goes in the ground.

Designed for Safety

A home system runs longer and harder than a vehicle setup — proper fusing, correct wire sizing, and doing it right matter even more. We design and spec every home system to the same standard we'd want in our own house, and source components rated for the job.

You'll Understand Your System

We walk you through the full design, monitoring, charging behavior, and what to do during an outage — whether you're installing it yourself or handing the plan to your electrician, you'll understand exactly how it's supposed to work.
