12V Off-Grid Starter Build
Customer Education / Demo Board
A reference board we use to walk customers through what a complete 12V off-grid system looks like — inverter, DC-DC charger, MPPT controller, bus bars, fuse block, and disconnect, all wired together.
Components in This Build
- 2000W pure sine wave inverter
- 12/12 40A DC-DC (battery-to-battery) charger
- Bluetooth battery monitor
- MPPT charge controller
- Heavy-duty bus bars (positive and negative)
- ANL fuse block
- Battery disconnect switch
This board is the one we bring out when someone is planning their first 12V off-grid or van/RV electrical system and wants to see how the pieces actually connect, not just read a parts list.
Every component a typical 12V build needs is represented here: a pure sine wave inverter for AC loads, a DC-DC charger for charging off an alternator, an MPPT controller for solar input, bus bars to cleanly distribute power, a fuse block for circuit protection, and a battery disconnect switch for safe isolation.
We size the individual components (inverter wattage, fuse ratings, wire gauge) to match each customer’s actual load and battery bank, but the wiring layout and component relationships stay the same across most 12V builds.
